Sec 4s are having study parade. Revision and self study.
Sec 3s and Sec 2s are having flag drills from 830am to 1200pm.

Phototaking

The phototaking session on Thursday 24 May is scheduled at 5:25pm. However, we should be ready in Full Uniform by 5:00pm. Due to unforeseen circumstances and delay, the photoshoot may finish between 5:45pm to 6:15pm. Please inform your parents about the possible delay and late dismissal.

Since the Unit is scheduled for phototaking on 24 May Thursday, a Muster Parade and Training Session will be held. Muster Parade will take place at 2:45pm. Please iron your uniform and arrange your badges in the NEW order, under the new directive. Those with long hair, please get a decent haircut, failing which you will be barred from the phototaking session.

Dear Sec 4s, as you all know, Challenge Unlimited is on the 14th March which is this coming wednesday. We would like to have as much Sec 4s to come down to help out. Fall in time would be 7am outside NPCC room and you all will be dismissed latest by 2.30pm. Attire will be VSNPCC Unit Polo-T shirt and Track Pants(dark blue/ black). For those who do not have the VSNPCC Unit Polo-T shirt , please wear your VS PE T-Shirt. Attendance is compulsory and lunch will not be provided. Thank you.

A very big thank you for those who came down to help out during the sec1 camp for making it a success! More importantly, here's the packing list & attire for ATF @ pulau ubin on the 15th of March, a Thursday:

- participants MUST be in track pants

- track pants must be black or dark blue

- VS pt kit ( or long-sleeved shirt if you are afraid to get rope/sun burns )

- water bottle

- sunblock

- school shoes or track shoes

- poncho

- identification card

- writing material ( pen & paper )

- face towel ( optional )

- cap ( optional )

Please report at 7.15am at Changi Point Ferry Terminal ( the same old ferry terminal that we have been using for debriefing after the previous 2 ATC ) and you will be dismissed at estimated 6.30pm.

UOPA Award 2006

Victoria School NPCC Unit has once again brought honour and glory to the school by winning the UOPA Gold Award for 2006! Our 7th consecutive Gold Award! Principal and the school management are elated and are proud of our achievement. They convey their congratulations to each cadet of the Unit. Well done! Unit T-Shirt

Dear Sec 4s:
Please help to create a design for our unit t-shirt. You can draw your design on a foolscap. The t-shirt will be a black-based polo tee and your design should be VSNPCC based. Your design should not include any vugluarities and obscene items. Hand in your design this coming parade. It is compulsory for everyone. Top ten designs will be chosen by the NCOs and the final design of the shirt will be chosen by whole unit. Do your best to fight for the final design.

Self Defence Course

We will need to have an enrichment course in UOPA. We have 19 participants for 1-Star Kayaking Course. We are 1 man short. Hence, we need to makeup with a Self Defence Course. We need a minimum number of 20 participants. I have spoken to Mr Randell Siow and he has kindly agreed to hold a 2-day course for us. Next Tuesday 9am to 10:30am and next Wednesday 2pm to 3:30pm. These 2 training sessions cannot be counted for routine training, its enrichment. We need a minimum of 20 maximum of 25. I will want all Sec 3 NCOs and seniors to sign up and the remaining topped up from Sec 2s. As some of the Sec 2s are away for camps, we will not have too many from Sec 2s. NO Sec 1s. Head Training to give me the list of names on Friday end of parade. Other NCOs please help to inform Head Training. Those who sign up must be present on BOTH days. See if we can hit 25, but must be least 20.

Postponement of 2-Star Kayaking Course

Chun Kang has spoken to me that he will like to organise the 2-Star Kayaking Course for Sec 3s. However, after much deliberation, I have decided that we will postpone the course to 2007. I will like all to concentrate on the UOPA Report and UTC. 2007 will be a less vigorous year in which we do not have campcraft comp which takes up lots of time. It will be a more suitable year to do the course.

Attention all NCOs,

I have advised against having training on 9 Nov afternoon as there are 2 GCE O level papers that afternoon. However, since you people insist on having training, all NCOs are to ensure the following,

NO GREETINGS OF OFFICERS, TEACHERS, NCOS AS A SQUAD AS THIS WILL GENERATE NOISE. ONE REP GREETS ON BEHALF OF THE SQUAD.

NO SHOUTING BY NCOS AS THIS WILL GENERATE NOISE.

NO SEEKING OF PERMISSION TO ENTER NPCC ROOM AS A SQUAD AS THIS WILL GENERATE NOISE.

9 Nov afternoon papers will be held in the school hall and Classrooms 1D and 1E. NCOs are to take note of this. Should I receive complaints from Chief Presiding Examiner or Presiding Examiners, ALL NCOs will get it from me. For Strict Compliance.

Uniform Inspection

I will like to conduct Uniform Inspection immediately after Muster Parade tomorrow. Muster Parade will start at 2:45pm sharp. Squad Commanders will ensure that your squads fall in at the parade square before 2:45pm. Immediately after the Muster Parade, the Sec 1 and Sec 2 Squads will fall out for water breaks for 15 minutes. During which, Sec 3 Squad, including ALL NCOs will have Uniform Inspection by me. After that, Uniform Inspection for Sec 1 Squad followed by Sec 2 Squad. Squad Commanders to be around to take note of errors by their cadets. Sec 3 Squad fall out for water breaks. There is no need to inform the Sec 1 Squad today to minimise unnecessary alarm.
